Computer Science Discoveries

This is a 10 week introductory course that empowers students to create authentic artifacts and engage with Computer Science as a medium for creativity, communication, problem solving, and fun. We will focus on problem solving and creating interactive games and animations.

 

Tuesday 9-26-17

Objective:
Drawing in Game Lab

Learning Targets:
LT2: Decompose (break down) problems into smaller, manageable subproblems to facilitate the program development process.
LT5: Systematically test and refine programs using a range of test cases.

Assignment:
Unit 3 L3-4

 

Friday 9-22-17

Objective:
Students will Plot shapes in Game Lab

Learning Targets:
LT4: Use flowcharts and/or pseudocode to address complex problems as algorithms.
LT5: Systematically test and refine programs using a range of test cases.

Assignment:
Unit 3 L2

 

Tuesday 9-11-17

Objective:
Students wlll design an app to solve a problem.

Learning Targets:
LT4: Use flowcharts and/or pseudocode to address complex problems as algorithms.
LT7: Design projects that combine hardware and software components to collect and exchange data.
